Muita gente acha que tem o inglês excelente, mas isso nem sempre reflete a realidade, avalie seus conhecimentos com esse teste de inglês.

Tenho um aluno que é diretor de vendas, bam-bam-bam da empresa onde trabalha, e falava “We sale commodities.” Ele ficou pasmo quando eu o corrigi, explicando que o correto seria: “We sell commodities.”

Pois SALE = venda (substantivo), enquanto SELL = vender (verbo).

Ele ficou chocado pois disse que falou assim a vida inteira, e ninguém nunca o corrigiu, nenhum colega, subordinado, chefe, cliente, nem professor (até me conhecer, hehehe).

Outro aluno me pediu para corrigir a ata de uma reunião em inglês que ele precisava enviar para um cliente, pois descobriu que os colegas tiravam sarro de outro gerente que cometia muitos erros em inglês, e ele não queria se tornar outra vítima da chacota alheia.

Nem sempre seus colegas, chefes, subordinados ou clientes vão corrigir seus erros em inglês. Se ninguém te falar, você não saberá se está errando.

Esses erros podem parecer bobos ou inocentes para você. Mas é bem provável que por causa deles, estejam tirando sarro pelas suas costas, e dependendo da quantidade e seriedade dos erros, sua imagem na empresa pode ser afetada sem você sequer tenha ideia de que isso esteja acontecendo!
